Job Summary

The Human Resources Manager serves as the primary HR advisor, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, and workplace concerns to ensure issues are addressed effectively, consistently, and in compliance with employment regulations and organizational policies.
The HR Manager supports leaders in team development, corrective action, conflict resolution, and workforce planning, while providing education on HR policies, employment laws, and best practices.
By analyzing trends, identifying solutions, and collaborating with leadership, the HR Manager helps improve operational efficiency and promotes the well‑being and effectiveness of employees.

Job Responsibilities
  • Workforce Planning – Advises leaders on organizational design, succession planning, and resource allocation to optimize team effectiveness and enable leaders to make informed decisions.
    Adjust staffing or reorganize roles to meet evolving objectives while maintaining efficiency and compliance.
  • Employee Relations – Serves as the primary advisor in addressing workplace concerns, grievances, and conflicts. Conducts sensitive employee investigations, provides guidance on corrective action, and ensures disciplinary processes align with organizational policies.
    Supports leaders in fostering a positive workplace culture through coaching, counseling, and consistent application of policies.
  • Performance Management – Advises and supports leaders in implementing performance evaluation frameworks, goal‑setting, constructive feedback, and recognition strategies.
    Assists leaders with coaching, mentoring, and employee development initiatives to enhance engagement, motivation, and retention.
    Provides guidance on Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), corrective actions, and documentation to ensure fair, consistent, and compliant practices.
    Supports career development and succession planning by identifying high‑potential employees and advising on growth opportunities.
    Monitors performance trends and works with leaders to address issues proactively, fostering a productive and positive workplace culture.
  • HR Compliance – Ensures HR policies, procedures, and practices are compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as Archdiocesan regulations.
    Provides guidance and education to leaders and staff on HR policies, employment regulations, and best practices.
    Monitors HR processes and employee records to identify gaps, mitigate risk, and ensure adherence to compliance standards.
  • Training & Development – Designs, develops, and delivers training programs to build leadership and employee capabilities, including topics such as coaching, counseling, corrective action, managing others, performance management, and respect in the workplace.
    Creates resources and programs to support employee growth, engagement, and compliance with applicable laws and organizational policies.
    Partners with leaders to identify skill gaps and develop targeted learning opportunities.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5–7 years of HR Business Partner experience.
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM‑CP) is a plus.
  • Practicing Catholic in sacramental union with the church preferred.
Physical Demands
  • Primarily works in an indoor office environment.
  • Regularly uses a computer, phone, and other standard office equipment.
  • Frequently observes details at close range, reads, and reviews documents or digital information.
  • Regularly remains in a stationary position while performing work duties.
  • Occasionally may be required to travel locally or work remotely, depending on organizational needs.
