Payroll Officer

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team on a 6-month temporary contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with accuracy and attention to detail.

You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of payroll services, supporting both employees and the wider HR/Finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing end-to-end payroll for employees in line with company deadlines
• Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and statutory requirements
• Managing payroll queries and providing clear, timely resolutions
• Supporting with pension contributions, tax, NI, and other deductions
• Assisting with payroll reporting and audits as required
• Collaborating with HR and Finance to maintain accurate employee records

• Proven experience in payroll processing (end-to-end)
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and compliance
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to handle queries professionally
• Proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel

• Competitive salary: £32,000 - £34,000 per annum (pro rata)
