As an HR Lead, you will play a critical role in delivering a compliant, efficient, and empathetic offboarding experience that reflects the organization’s commitment to supporting employees and internal stakeholders during a sensitive transition period. This role requires a strong customer-service mindset, ensuring clear communication, responsiveness, and a high level of professionalism while partnering closely with employees, managers, and cross‑functional teams.
- Manage End-to-End Separation Process: Oversee and administer all employee separation activities, including calculating severance pay, preparing separation packages, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
- Employee Support and Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for separating employees, providing all required documentation, and resolving inquiries or issues throughout the offboarding process with empathy and professionalism.
- Data and Documentation Integrity: Ensure the accurate and timely administration of separation data by updating HRIS systems, maintaining separation records and documentation, coordinating final payments, and ensuring proper document retention and confidentiality.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration and Compliance: Partner closely with Legal, Payroll, HR Business Partners, and Compliance teams to guarantee efficient and timely coordination of separation activities, strict adherence to company policies, and compliance with all legal regulations.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization and harmonization in collaboration with key stakeholders to improve workflows and enhance the overall effectiveness of the separation and offboarding processes.
- Develop Standard Work: Create and maintain standard work documents and guides related to the offboarding process.
- 3-5 years of experience in an HR Operations role, with a strong preference for experience supporting separation activities.
- Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices related to separations and investigations.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, Avature) and ticketing systems (e.g., Salesforce, Service Now).
- Advanced competency in professional skills, including:
- Critical thinking, analysis, and problem‑solving.
- Strong attention to detail, responsiveness, and follow‑through.
- Flexibility, initiative, and tact.
- Risk‑minded focus, with a strong preference for maintaining confidentiality and quality assurance of sensitive information.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with clarity and precision at all levels.
