Position: Learning Management System's Lead Administrator - ADMINISTRATOR IV

Residency Requirement

This position is open to current Colorado residents only.

Human Resources

The Division of Human Resources (HR) provides human resource services to the general public, applicants, managers, and employees of the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS).

Services include benefit administration; compensation; employee relations; exam development; HR policy, job analysis, evaluation and classification; organizational development; new employee orientation; performance management; record keeping; recruitment; grievance resolution unsafe; retention; selection; reorganization; and strategic planning.

The Employee Experience and Development Team administers learning and development programs such as Leadership Development, Career Pathing, Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Engagement via the Cornerstone Learning Management System (LMS).

Weekly Hybrid Working Arrangements

Minimum 2 days in office; maximum 3 days remote work. Work arrangements are subject to change.

What you will be doing

This Stafford Authority manages and evaluates CDHS's LMS, providing technical expertise, improving processes, and ensuring mandatory training compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage user experience across the LMS and host office hours for administrators.
  • Assist in managing licenses for fiscal responsibility.
  • Coordinate quarterly mandatory training with other state agencies.
  • Provide subject‑matter expertise and proactive learning opportunities for LMS administrators.
  • Collaborate with OIT and LMS support to troubleshoot issues.
  • Assist the Performance Development Specialist with performance modules.
  • Perform data management within the LMS.
  • Build and assign live and asynchronous training.

Special Qualifications
  • Minimum of JOption

    Pane; 3 years of LMS operations in the Cornerstone platform.
Experience Only
  • 7 years total: 2 years in a technical support role and 1 year in backend administration.
Education and Experience
  • A combination of related education in Computer Sciences, Education, Communications, or Science, and 7 years of LMS operation experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expert LMS system knowledge, especially Cornerstone.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Problem‑solving and resourcefulness.
  • Relevant state service experience (considered a preferred qualification).
