About the role
At My Eye Dr ., caring for our associates is foundational to delivering exceptional patient care. The Senior Manager, Shared Services plays a critical role in bringing this commitment to life by leading the team responsible for delivering consistent, accurate, and high‑quality HR support across the organization. This leader oversees day‑to‑day Shared Services operations while continuously strengthening the service delivery model to ensure processes are scalable, compliant, and aligned with My Eye Dr ’s values.
The Senior Manager partners closely with HR Business Partners, Payroll, Legal, Clinical Operations, and Field Leadership to deliver a seamless, dependable associate experience throughout the full employee lifecycle. This role reports to the Vice President, People Experience Enablement and is a hybrid position based out of My Eye Dr ’s Home Office in Vienna, VA or Raleigh, NC, with an in‑office requirement of two days per week.
Will
- Provide leadership and oversight for daily HR Shared Services operations, ensuring consistent, high‑quality service across associate inquiries, onboarding and offboarding, employment verifications, and HR data transactions.
- Own Shared Services processes end‑to‑end, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and local compliance requirements, including wage and hour, I‑9/E‑Verify, record‑keeping, and internal policy standards.
- Establish, maintain, and evolve clear standard operating procedures (SOPs) that drive operational excellence, consistency, and compliance at scale.
- Partner closely with Legal, HRIS, and Compliance to interpret regulatory changes and operationalize updates in a timely and effective manner.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, reduce complexity, and enhance the overall associate experience.
- Oversee HR data governance and integrity, ensuring accurate employee records, strong audit controls, and alignment with system standards.
- Collaborate with Payroll and Finance to ensure accurate, timely processing of employee changes and compliance‑related transactions.
- Serve as the senior escalation point for complex or sensitive associate matters, driving thoughtful, taht compliant, and timely resolution.
- Contribute to and support cross‑functional initiatives, including system enhancements, policy updates, acquisitions, and integrations.
- Develop and deliver training, documentation, and communications that enable managers and associates to effectively navigate Shared Services processes and compliance expectations.
- Monitor service performance and key metrics, identifying trends and implementing targeted improvements to strengthen service delivery.
- Ensure Shared Services operations consistently reflect My Eye Dr ’s mission, values, and commitment to a positive associate experience.
- Lead special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.
- 7+ years of progressive HR operations or shared services experience, including multi‑state compliance and service delivery, with the ability to translate requirements into practical, day‑to‑day workflows.
- 3+ years of people leadership experience, with a strong focus on coaching, development, engagement, and performance management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP/SCP, and/or certifications in compliance,.thr HR operations, or process improvement (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in employment law, I‑9/E‑Verify, wage and hour, and record‑keeping requirements within high‑growth, multi‑location, or multi‑state environments.
- Hands‑on, advanced user of HR technology platforms (e.g., Ceridian Dayforce or Workday) with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communicator and relationship‑builder who establishes trust across all levels and partners effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Analytical, detail‑oriented problem solver with a focus on root‑cause analysis, continuous improvement, and scalable operational solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy and discretion in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
