The Role
We are currently seeking a Temporary Payroll Analyst to join the Payroll Department of our esteemed client organization for an initial period of three months. This role offers an excellent opportunity for payroll professionals or individuals with strong analytical skills, particularly those experienced in compliance, finance, or data analysis. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of payroll processing, handling complex queries, and maintaining compliance with statutory requirements.
The position provides a supportive environment that values precision, problem-solving, and collaborative efforts, making it ideal for someone looking to develop their expertise within a dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience in payroll processing, data analysis, or compliance. Strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are essential. Candidates should have excellent communication skills to manage sensitive queries effectively and demonstrate the ability to work under pressure while meeting strict deadlines. A background in finance, data handling, or related fields will be advantageous. Proficiency in payroll software and familiarity with statutory deductions and regulatory requirements are also desirable.
This role is suitable for individuals who are proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a high-performing team.
- Review payroll data and transactions to identify errors, anomalies, and inconsistencies, ensuring data integrity.
- Resolve complex pay queries, enquiries, issues, and complaints, escalating where appropriate to maintain service standards.
- Complete payroll transactional processing accurately and within designated time frames to ensure timely payroll delivery.
- Support the management of payroll credit transfers and emergency CHAPS payments, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Ensure statutory deductions such as taxes, social security, and other contributions are correctly applied and accurately reported.
- Produce and dispatch statutory returns, including those related to taxable benefits, within statutory deadlines to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
This temporary role offers a flexible working pattern, combining two days per week in the Bradford office with the remaining days working from home, providing a healthy work-life balance.
