The Role

We are looking for a highly organised and ambitious People Manager to join our People Team. In this role you will work in a fast-paced environment supporting the day to day running of the People Team and provide support to employees both within the UK and internationally. You will be responsible for leading a range of tasks across the employee lifecycle and acting as advisor to managers and employees across the business.

This is a Hybrid role based in Central London which will report directly to our VP People.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding process including contract preparation, inductions and equipment shipments.
  • Prepare and run monthly payroll for both the UK and Canadian entities and make submissions for payroll changes via our employer of record. This will include managing pension schemes, commission payments and benefits.
  • Act as the main point of contact with our employer of records, ensuring timely onboarding of our international employees and liaising with them on A1’s, work permits and relocations.
  • Maintain office health and safety and co-own ISO
    45001 health and safety compliance, being responsible for risk assessments, policies, procedures and training.
  • Assist with annual audits from a People Team perspective including finance audits and ISO
    27001.
  • Act as the main point of contact for our site engineering team, assisting with mobilisations, advising on relocations, visas, salaries and providing relevant employment advice.
  • Maintain, develop and update company policies to align with organisational objectives and changes in employment legislation.
  • In collaboration with our legal team, maintain our EMI Option scheme, issue option agreements and prepare related annual submissions for HMRC.
  • Be solely responsible for our UK visa process and required Home Office notifications.
  • Advise managers on a range of employment matters including probation and performance.
  • Work with the People Team to actively implement programmes and initiatives across the business.
  • Be a reliable point of contact for queries from team members, providing timely responses to questions or escalating accordingly.
  • Support employees across the business with day-to-day people operations including HRIS use, benefits and company policies.
  • Maintain the HIRS system ensuring all employee information including absences are accurate and updated regularly.
  • Be an ambassador of company culture through assisting with arranging and running events such as volunteering, socials, reward and wellness programmes.
  • Seek to implement continual change and improvement in the People Team practices, processes and initiatives.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience working with EOR’s is desirable.
  • Knowledge of UK employment law and a passion to keep updated with changing legislation.
  • Working knowledge of payroll processes and practices.
  • Previous participation in audits would be beneficial, but not essential.
  • Experience owning a HRIS systems (we use HiBob).
