** The Role
** We are looking for an experienced and proactive ER Advisor to join our ER team. You will act as a trusted partner to managers, providing expert advice and guidance on employee relations matters to support fair, consistent and commercially aware people decisions.
This role is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract attracting a salary of up to £35,000 DOE.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Provide timely, pragmatic ER advice to managers on a full range of casework, including conduct, performance, absence, grievance and capability.
* Manage ER cases from end to end, ensuring they are handled in line with employment law, company policies and best practice.
* Support managers with investigations, preparing documentation and attending formal meetings and hearings where required.
* Coach and upskill managers to build ER capability and encourage early resolution of issues.
* Draft and review letters, outcome reports and case documentation.
* Maintain accurate case records and trackers, ensuring data is up to date for reporting and trend analysis.
* Identify ER trends and risks, escalating where appropriate and feeding into continuous improvement of policies and processes.
* Support change initiatives (e.g. restructures, consultations, TUPE, policy changes) from an ER perspective.
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, HR colleagues and, where relevant, trade union or employee representatives.
** About You
*** We’re looking for someone who brings:
* Proven experience in an ER-focused HR role (e.g. ER Advisor, HR Advisor with strong ER casework).
* Solid working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
* Confident managing a varied ER caseload, including complex and high-risk cases.
* Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge and coach managers constructively.
* Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
