As we grow, we are looking for an experienced HR Officer to strengthen our people function and support our managers in creating a culture where staff thrive.
The RoleWe are seeking a hands-on HR professional to manage employee relations cases, lead HR investigations, maintain accurate HR records, provide advice to managers, and contribute to a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement. This role also supports compliance and verification processes across the organisation, offering cover and assistance as required.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage HR investigations in line with policy and best practice.
- Advise and coach managers on employee relations matters to ensure fair and consistent outcomes.
- Undertake HR projects that improve support and engagement for staff.
- Maintain accurate HR records and manage day-to-day HR administration.
- Respond to employee enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Support compliance and verification processes, including audits, record checks, and training.
- Prepare HR documentation including contracts, termination letters, and other official correspondence.
- Collaborate across departments to foster a culture of compliance, integrity, and accountability.
- Stay up-to-date with HR trends, employment law, and best practice.
Skills & Abilities: The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent prioritisation and organisational skills, combined with strong interpersonal, motivational, and communication abilities. They will have a high level of emotional intelligence, particularly for managing sensitive employee relations matters, and will be able to advise and coach managers effectively.
Knowledge & Expertise: The role requires a solid knowledge of UK Employment Law and HR best practices. Candidates should have an understanding of Safer Recruitment practices and safeguarding requirements. Awareness of health and safety in the workplace is desirable, as is experience in Learning & Development for line managers, including training on key HR processes.
Education & Training: CIPD Level 5 qualification is essential.
Experience: Applicants must have proven experience leading HR investigations and managing employee relations cases. Experience in HR administration, record management, and supporting compliance audits is essential. Familiarity with HR software is desirable, as is experience managing HR projects and working with multi-site teams.

They will be proactive, able to work independently, and collaborate effectively across teams. A commitment to fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement is essential, alongside flexibility and adaptability to provide support across HR and compliance functions as required.
What We Offer: We offer hybrid working, with three days in the office and two days working from home. The role is full-time, with the potential for term-time working.
