We are excited to announce two openings for experienced HR professionals to join our People & Culture Team at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. One position is permanent at 0.5 FTE, while the other is a fixed‑term role for 12 months at 1.0 FTE. This is a dynamic time to become part of our team as we strive to enhance our HR services to better support the organization.
The People Consultant role is ideal for an enthusiastic, motivated, and values‑driven HR professional. You will be working within the mental health sector, providing essential HR support to divisional managers and employees, thereby enabling them to deliver outstanding service to our users and their families.
Main Responsibilities- Provide advice and support to line managers and employees on a range of generalist HR issues.
- Efficiently manage a busy employee relations caseload.
- Deliver local training on the application of Trust Policies, including Health & Well-being, Disciplinary actions, and Investigations.
- Support the delivery of HR Clinics and help the team achieve KPI targets.
- Engage in a wide program of work across various HR disciplines, focusing particularly on employee relations casework.
- Significant operational HR experience is essential.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities effectively.
- A pragmatic ‘can-do’ approach to challenges is necessary.
- Sound understanding of HR practices and employment law.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience is required.
- Experience in implementing employment policies such as discipline, grievance, equal opportunities, and absence management.
- Desirable qualifications include a management qualification and experience in delivering training.
- Competitive salary ranging from £39,959 to £48,117 per annum, pro rata.
