Job Overview

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS) invites applications for the Recruitment Coordinator role within our permanent in-house Talent Acquisition Team. The position is based at Southampton General Hospital, with a flexible blend of office and home working.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advertise vacancies, long‑list candidates and manage job advertisements.
  • Coordinate interviews and prepare interview briefs for hiring managers.
  • Conduct offer calls, prepare offer letters and negotiate starting salaries.
  • Provide high‑quality customer service to candidates and hiring managers, responding to queries promptly.
  • Assist with recruitment campaigns, social media content and other projects as required.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment data, using MS Office (particularly Excel) and modern digital tools.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Diploma or Level 4 (or equivalent) education.
  • Previous experience in an operational recruitment or resourcing role, including initial screening of candidates.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with managers, staff and external organisations.
  • Experience delivering training sessions.
  • Knowledge of pre‑employment check compliance.
  • Pragmatic decision‑making skills relating to recruitment.

Desirable Criteria

  • Level 3 or Level 5 CIPD qualification.
