HRIS Specialist
HR Establishment Data Assistant (FTC until 31st March 2027) – Part Time, 28 hours per week. £25,510‑£28,344 pro rata (depending on experience). Home based within commutable distance of Worcester/Birmingham; occasional travel to Group offices.
We are seeking an experienced HR professional with a passion for HR systems and data, an analytical mindset and a drive to implement continuous improvement. This role supports the HR Information Systems team by maintaining and improving the organisation’s Establishment data and processes.
Key responsibilities- Create, amend and maintain Establishment posts and positions within the HR system (iTrent), ensuring accuracy and alignment with approved structures.
- Review large volumes of Establishment and organisational data, carrying out integrity checks to identify gaps, inconsistencies or anomalies.
- Liaise with HRIS colleagues to process system updates, structural changes and Establishment adjustments in a timely and controlled manner.
- Support senior HR colleagues by actioning system changes, analysing data, and identifying anomalies or inconsistencies that require clarification.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by questioning existing processes, suggesting enhancements, and applying logical thinking to resolve issues.
- Work collaboratively with the HR Establishment Lead and wider HRIS team to maintain a robust, well‑controlled Establishment structure within the HR system.
- Contribute ideas for improving Establishment processes, data flows and system controls.
- Apply analytical and logical thinking to anticipate downstream impacts of Establishment changes.
- Demonstrable experience of administering an integrated HR/Payroll system.
- Experience of working with HR systems and data; experience with iTrent preferred.
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills to communicate confidently at all levels and maintain good working relationships.
- Ability to work accurately to tight deadlines as part of a small team.
- Experience with HR policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of GDPR and applicable information‑management legislation.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Inquisitive nature, confident in analysing data and challenging assumptions.
Location:
Home based with occasional travel to Group offices located at Birmingham Business Park Solihull and Central Park, Worcester.
