People Services Adviser | 12 month contract | Shrewsbury | Office based with occasional local travel / working from home if required at times | Salary £34,530 - £38,367 | Full time
The CompanySeymour John are exclusively partnering with a leading organisation to appoint a People Services Adviser. The OpportunityIn this role you will deliver a responsive, professional and values-led HR service across the organisation. Working closely with managers and colleagues you will provide practical advice and support on a broad range of people matters while ensuring HR processes are delivered efficiently, consistently and in line with employment legislation and best practice.
Key responsibilities- Providing day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers, employees and volunteers
- Supporting employee relations matters including absence management, performance, conduct, grievance, probation and flexible working cases
- Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and workforce compliance activities
- Maintaining accurate HR records and supporting reporting and audit requirements
- Promoting a positive, inclusive and values-driven culture
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the People Services function

You will ideally have- CIPD qualification (or be working towards one) or equivalent HR experience
- Experience providing HR advice and support to managers and employees
- A sound understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
- Experience supporting employee relations casework
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A professional, collaborative and compassionate approach
