Owen Reed is looking to recruit an experienced HR Advisor for a top international law firm
.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and high-performing HR team, providing generalist HR support to legal and business services teams. Working within a business partnering model, you ll advise managers and employees across the employee lifecycle while contributing to strategic HR initiatives and key annual people processes.

This role is ideal for an ambitious HR professional with experience in a professional services environment who is looking to broaden their expertise and develop their career within a leading law firm.

Key Responsibilities

As an HR Advisor, you will:

  • Partner with HR Managers to provide day-to-day HR advice and support to legal and business services teams.
  • Advise on a broad range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence management and flexible working.
  • Support the delivery of annual HR processes, including appraisals, promotions, salary reviews and bonus cycles.
  • Assist with talent management and succession planning initiatives.
  • Act as the primary HR contact for the firm s British Virgin Islands (BVI) office.
  • Review HR correspondence prepared by the HR Assistant and draft more complex documentation, including contracts and employee relations letters.
  • Analyse HR management information and identify trends or areas requiring action.
  • Manage parental leave, flexible working applications and end-of-probation processes.
  • Monitor absence cases, coordinate occupational health referrals and liaise with internal stakeholders regarding long-term absence and PHI claims.
  • Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to support retention initiatives.
  • Support the firm s immigration processes, ensuring compliance with Home Office requirements.
  • Contribute to HR projects, policy development and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working at HR Advisor level within a professional services or legal environment
    .
  • CIPD qualification (or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience managing employee relations cases with confidence and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, commercially focused and solutions-driven approach.
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience interpreting HR data and management information.
  • High levels of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and HR systems.
