You’ll join Marie Curie’s Talent & Development team, where you’ll help build the skills, leadership capability and talent needed to deliver our mission of closing the gap in end-of-life care. Working closely with HR, managers and leaders across the organisation, the team designs and delivers learning, leadership and talent initiatives that enable colleagues and volunteers to thrive. This is an exciting opportunity to join at a pivotal time, helping to shape a modern, organisation-wide approach to our learning, talent management and succession planning.

As a Learning & Development Business Partner, you’ll combine strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery to create learning experiences that make a lasting difference. You’ll partner with leaders across Marie Curie to identify capability gaps, design impactful development solutions and embed a culture of continuous learning. From leadership programmes and career development initiatives to apprenticeship opportunities and talent management, your work will help equip our people with the skills and confidence they need to deliver exceptional care and support.

Your

Impact:
  • Partner with leaders and managers to identify capability needs and design learning and development solutions aligned to organisational priorities.
  • Design, deliver and evaluate inclusive learning, leadership and talent development programmes that build capability across the organisation.
  • Play a key role in developing and embedding Marie Curie’s talent management and performance development framework.
  • Lead the management and optimisation of apprenticeship programmes and levy funding, ensuring maximum organisational value and compliance.
  • Develop learning pathways, resources and blended learning solutions that support career development and leadership growth.
  • Use learning data, feedback and insights to evaluate programme effectiveness and continuously improve learning outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external learning providers, acting as a trusted advisor on learning and development.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning, professional development and knowledge sharing across Marie Curie.
Key Requirements:
  • Experience designing, delivering and evaluating learning and development programmes within a complex organisation.
  • Strong business partnering skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Experience identifying capability needs and translating them into practical learning and development solutions.
  • Good understanding of learning and development methodologies, leadership development and talent management.
  • Experience managing apprenticeship programmes and knowledge of apprenticeship levy funding.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality programmes.
  • Ability to analyse learning data and evaluate the impact of development initiatives.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development in Learning & Development, HR or Organisational Development (CIPD Level 5 or above is desirable).

Salary: Up to £51,500 per annum
