About The Role:

An exciting new home based full-time role has been created in our existing HR ops team. As HR Assistant you will be a key member of the HR team, and you will support the HRBP to offer the group an effective HR service.

Your role supports the wider HR team with admin tasks which include contractual amends, maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave administration, references, requests for documents, audits, minute talking, completing actions via our HR & Payroll system and will be part of the team managing the HR inbox, dealing with queries with support from the HRBP and HR Officers. You will also support the Operational HR team with admin tasks for strategic initiatives, projects and continued development of policies and procedures.
The ideal applicant will have experience in writing contracts and doing contractual amends This role is home-based (ideally in Birmingham/West Midlands) but will require travel to our services when needed. This role is line managed by the HRBP.

Job Responsibilities:

Support the wider HR team to implement the People Plan in a way that enables the business to meet its objectives.
Assist with HR policies and procedures/toolkits and support the business to ensure it is consistent, compliant, and up to date with relevant legislation and best practice.
Support the HR Team in key HR projects and integrations as agreed with the Director of HR and Resourcing.
Assist the HRBP to develop and produce business-impacting HR reports/management information, monitor, and analyse trends and assist to implement change to drive continuous improvement.
Ensures the internal HR files and trackers are up to date and relevant.
As directed by the HRBP, you will deliver administration duties supporting various HR processes which include TUPE transfers, restructuring, reorganisation as and when required.
Support the operational HR team with admin support when needed, including the preparation and processing of various HR contractual amends, changes etc.
Take ownership of the HR inbox’s actioning items within our SLA’s taking advice from the HRBP where appropriate.
Complete contracts and contractual amends and ensure they are issued and returned as signed and filed appropriately.
Complete reference requests.
Take minutes in meetings as required.
Assist the HR team with audits.
Acts as a first point of contact for RTW and Compliance related queries.
Keeps self-informed about changes in legislation in the Care and Education sector and the wider group that affects compliance, proactively supporting any projects and
developments needed. Research, request and collate data/information on behalf of the wider HR team. Leads on RTW checks and renewal processes advising line managers. Completes compliance files and processes for international recruitment and sponsor ships. Checks new starters and new offer files for compliance in line with safer recruitment policies. Ensures any sponsored employees maintain compliance throughout the term of sponsorship. Ensures DBS checks are up to date and renewed in line with policy.

Ensures compliance of Welsh carers and clinical employees across the Group. Delivers training on compliance processes internally when requested. Develop and maintain good working relationships across our organisation. Keep up to date with legislation changes affecting the group within the HR space. Ensure HR & Payroll system admin tasks are completed within agreed deadlines.
Have excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload. Maintain Confidentiality of any HR casework and projects.
