About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and knowledgeable HR Advisor who enjoys balancing hands‑on operational support with trusted advisory guidance.

As our HR Advisor, you’ll work as part of a collaborative team to provide expert HR advice and operational support across the business, ensuring the consistent and fair application of HR policies and processes. You will support managers, handle employee relations casework, and contribute to projects that enhance the overall employee experience across a hybrid and geographically distributed workforce.

This role will also take ownership of providing crucial cover during a period of long‑term medical absence, serving as a key point of contact for managers and employees across the business.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Provide
expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on employee relations, disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance management cases.
  • Support
managers in investigations and the fair, consistent resolution of employee concerns in line with employment law and internal policies.
  • Ensure
HR policies, procedures, and practices are applied consistently and remain fully compliant with legislation and GDPR standards.
  • Guide
managers through performance management processes, including goal setting, annual reviews, and constructive feedback mechanisms.
  • Collaborate
with the wider HR team to deliver initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, well‑being, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Contribute
to HR projects focused on enhancing process efficiency, system improvements, and HRIS optimization.
  • Identify
opportunities to streamline HR operations and improve service delivery through innovation and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

We’re looking for someone who combines empathy and resilience with a proactive, collaborative approach and thrives in a fast‑paced environment.

You’ll bring:

  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and HR processes.
  • Proven experience advising managers and managing HR casework in an advisory role (1+ years’ experience or equivalent).
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards), or a degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build trust quickly.
  • Good understanding of performance management, employee relations, and engagement principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and an unyielding commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Comfort working in a fast‑paced, changing environment and managing multiple priorities with flexibility.
