Grade E (£28,063 - £30,185 p.a. pro rata)

This is a full time, permanent role, working in a hybrid environment with 3 days per week in the office.

Do you thrive in an exciting and varied role in which no two days are the same? Nottingham Trent University Human Resources team are looking for an organised individual with excellent attention to detail to join us as a HR Assistant.

As our newest HR Assistant, you will be supporting the team by advising managers and employees on policy matters, managing flexible working and other family friendly leave, payroll input and contractual administration.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in our multi-skilled HR Business Partnering team. You will provide a proactive, effective, and value-added HR support service, both over the telephone and face-to-face, to a varied client department of approximately 1500 employees. The role is a blend of remote and on-campus working, based at our Nottingham City Centre campus, with possible travel to our other campuses at Clifton and Brackenhurst.

About You

You’ll bring with you a proven track record of working within a fast-paced and busy HR department and you’ll provide a proactive, customer focused, effective and value-added HR support.

You will be able to work logically and proactively, will have a commitment to providing excellent customer service, and will be capable of managing a high volume of varied activities, working to clear deadlines. You will be a confident communicator and will enjoy developing professional, effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels.

Experience of iTrent HR system would be advantageous, although training will be provided.
