This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in education recruitment, compliance, safeguarding, HR, or candidate vetting who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and attention to detail are essential. This is a Full time postion 8.30am - 5pm Monday - Friday.
Key Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end compliance process for education candidates. Complete and verify DBS checks, including relevant update and renewal processes. Conduct and verify right-to-work checks in line with current legislation. Obtain, check and validate employment and professional references. Ensure candidates provide all required qualifications, identification and supporting documentation. Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate compliance records. Identify gaps or discrepancies in candidate documentation and follow these up promptly.
Ensure candidates meet the relevant safeguarding and recruitment requirements before being placed. Keep up to date with changes to education safeguarding, safer recruitment and compliance requirements. Work closely with recruitment consultants to ensure candidates are compliant within agreed timescales. Carry out regular compliance audits and maintain a high standard of record keeping. Support internal compliance processes, audits and quality assurance.
Provide clear and professional communication to candidates regarding outstanding compliance requirements. Escalate any potential compliance or safeguarding concerns appropriately. About You We are looking for someone who is:
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail. Confident managing large volumes of information and documentation. Comfortable working to deadlines in a fast-paced recruitment environment. Able to identify errors, inconsistencies and potential compliance risks. A clear and confident communicator, both verbally and in writing. Professional, approachable and able to build positive relationships with candidates and colleagues. Proactive, reliable and able to work independently.
Comfortable using recruitment databases and Microsoft Office systems. Experience Essential:
Experience in compliance, recruitment, HR, education recruitment or a similar administrative role. Must have at least 2 years education compliance experience. Experience handling confidential personal information. Strong administrative and organisational skills. Good understanding of the importance of safeguarding and candidate compliance. Desirable:
Previous experience within education recruitment. Knowledge of DBS and right-to-work processes. Understanding of safer recruitment practices within the education sector.
