We are looking to recruit to a part time role of Employability Officer that will work with us to the end of March 2027 (locally funded post) to support our objectives of embedding and delivering a number of employability programmes across the organisation.

You will be working closely with our current Employability Officer who started last year and has successfully supported our managers to host a number of interns across two different employability programme with a potential third programme starting this year.
Your main duties will be organising the placements, arranging bespoke inductions, liaising with recruitment for recruitment checks, produce and maintain key data/reports using Microsoft packages relating to the measures and deliverables of the programmes, attend local meetings, job fairs and job centre engagement sessions and supporting placements with in our own small team.
This is a great opportunity to build working relationships with a range of stakeholders from placement managers, individuals on placement, external partners such as DWP, the LEP, employability partners and other internal colleagues such as recruitment, the Learning and Development team, our communications team and the Workforce sustainability team.
You will need to have excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills and will need to be self-motivated, confident and comfortable to work autonomously to problem solve and resolve issues arising from individuals on placement, timetabling the programmes and working with services who already deliver very busy services. Ideally you will have done a similar role and have a background of supporting a range of people who may have faced a number of barriers into employment.
In order to be successful in this role you should have a good understanding or be willing to learn about the types of health and social inequities that have formed barriers into employment and what training and support our managers will need to have to be able to offer successful and value added placements.
