About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Remote HR Compliance Manager to lead compliance initiatives for their globally distributed workforce, with a primary focus on operations connected to Nelspruit. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of international and South African labor laws, regulatory requirements, and HR best practices. You will be responsible for developing and implementing robust compliance frameworks, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to all legal standards across different jurisdictions.
This is a critical leadership position for a compliance expert who thrives in a remote-first environment and is adept at navigating complex legal landscapes.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HR compliance programs and policies applicable to a remote workforce.
- Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate compliance gaps.
- Ensure adherence to South African labor laws and relevant international employment regulations.
- Manage the development and delivery of compliance training for employees and management globally.
- Oversee the investigation and resolution of compliance-related issues and employee grievances.
- Stay current with legislative changes and advise the organization on proactive compliance strategies.
- Master's degree in Law, Human Resources Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in HR compliance, labor law, or risk management.
- Expert knowledge of South African labor laws (BCEA, LRA, EEA) and an understanding of international employment regulations.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance frameworks for remote or distributed teams.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
