Job Title: People Operations Manager

Location: Poringland, Norfolk (with travel as required)

This is a full time office role with home working one day per week (subject to our Working From Home Policy).

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000, dependent upon experience

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Full Time (37.5 hours) Monday to Friday between 08:00 – 18:00. The successful candidate will be required to be flexible to accommodate the needs of the role.

About You:

As our Peoples Operations Manager, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day operational management across the People Function and ensuring all the HR operations, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding and learning and development activity is delivered effectively across the JMR group. You will act as a role model across the organisation and promote a culture aligned with our values;

You will have experience supporting managers with a wide range of people matters, alongside coordinating key HR activities including recruitment, learning and development, HR administration, and workforce planning. A confident communicator with excellent organisational skills, you will be able to build strong, credible relationships with managers and colleagues across the organisation.

To be successful in this role, you will be highly organised and capable of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will have a keen eye for identifying potential risks, knowing when to escape issues appropriately, and maintaining accurate and compliant records. Above all, you will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering an exceptional people-focused service.

Requirements:

To apply for our People Operations Manager, you will need:

  • CIPD Level 5 Diploma in People Management (or equivalent qualification or relevant experience)
  • Support to complete a Level 5 Diploma apprenticeship is available for the right candidate following the successful completion of probationary period.
  • Experience operating at HR Adviser, Senior HR Adviser, HR Operations Manager, People Services Manager or equivalent level.
  • Experience working with HR & Payroll systems, such as iTrent, People First, Workday, and Resource Link.
  • Experience supporting and managing a range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability, performance or conduct cases.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law, HR best practice and fair, values-led people processes.
  • Experience supporting managers with people matters and coaching them to apply HR policies and procedures consistently.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, remove operational blockers and ensure agreed actions are progressed.
  • Confident communication skills, with the ability to build credibility with managers and colleagues.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain oversight across multiple work streams.
  • Due to the nature of our organisation, you will also need a UK driving licence.
