HR Generalist / Talent Management, HR Manager, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
We are recruiting for a commercial Head of HR to lead a team of generalist HR and Learning and Development professionals. Working for a multi-site operation, the company are based on the outskirts of Winchester, with easy access from Winchester, Southampton, Andover and surrounding areas.
This managerial role will be involved with all aspects of HR and being a hands on, yet commercial leader.
Leading the HR team will involve the following responsibilities:
- Full involvement with HR operations, including employee relations, recruitment, learning and development, performance processes and HR administration
- Engaging with managers and senior managers across the business and developing strong working relationships to support them with day to day HR matters
- Responsibility for the HR and L&D budget, including forecasting, reporting and cost control
- Assisting managers with recruitment, including job descriptions, selection process and onboarding
- Working with the senior management team to facilitate change and ensure that the HR team are continuing to evolve
- Travel to different business locations to support managers, build effective working relationships and ensure visibility of the HR function across the business
My client is looking for an HR professional who has experience of managing others within an HR team, ideally within the retail or hospitality industry. Experience with in a multi-site operation would also be an advantage.
- The role requires a strong HR Generalist, qualified to CIPD Level 5 or Level 7, or equivalent relevant experience
- Proven experience of managing HR team members, ideally for a business with multiple sites.
- A commercial outlook combined with a people focused approach
- Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Confidence in managing employee relations and providing practical and informative advice
- Experience managing recruitment processes
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment where adapting to changing business needs and operational demands is key
- Proven experience of committing to continuous improvement and delivering a high quality HR service
- Experience of TUPE is an advantage
Supporting all of the business operations, the Head of HR will be vital to strengthening the HR team's capabilities, ensuring they deliver responsive and high-value services across the company.

This is an onsite role, with regular travel to all of the business locations. Some flexibility is offered to work from home up to one day a week, as required on an informal basis. With multiple sites predominantly across the South, you will have a valid driver's license and be willing to work at the Head Office near Winchester and travel to different properties as required.
