Remote Payroll Specialist

Our client is seeking a meticulous and efficient Remote Payroll Specialist to manage all aspects of payroll processing for their nationwide workforce. This role is crucial for ensuring timely and accurate payment of employees, managing deductions, and maintaining compliance with all relevant labor laws and tax regulations, all from a remote location. • Process accurate and timely payroll for all employees on a bi-weekly or monthly basis.
• Manage employee data, including new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation or status.
• Calculate and process all statutory deductions, including PAYE, UIF, and SDL.
• Reconcile payroll reports and ensure accuracy of financial postings to the general ledger.
• Stay updated on payroll regulations, tax laws, and best practices.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits promptly and professionally.

• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar payroll processing role.
• Strong understanding of South African payroll legislation and tax requirements.
• Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., VIP Payroll, Sage 300 People) and HRIS systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively in a remote environment.
