Remote HR Compliance Specialist

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and experienced Remote HR Compliance Specialist to ensure adherence to all relevant labor laws and regulations across their operations. This position is fully remote and requires a deep understanding of South African employment legislation, including the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, and Employment Equity Act. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring HR compliance programs, conducting audits, and providing guidance to HR teams and management to mitigate risks and ensure ethical employment practices.

Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining a legally sound and fair workplace.

• Develop, implement, and manage HR compliance programs and policies.
• Conduct regular audits of HR practices to ensure adherence to South African labor laws and company standards.
• Stay updated on legislative changes and advise the organization on necessary compliance adjustments.
• Investigate and address compliance-related concerns and employee grievances.
• Prepare and submit required compliance reports to relevant government bodies.
• Provide training and guidance to HR staff and management on compliance matters.

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience specifically focused on HR compliance in South Africa.
• Extensive knowledge of South African labor legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance frameworks and conducting audits.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex compliance issues clearly.
