Role Description The Senior Human Resources Advisor is a full-time hybrid role based in Cardiff, with flexibility for some work from home. The role involves providing expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees, supporting all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee deve
The advisor will develop, implement, and review HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organisational values and regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include managing employee relations cases, advising on disciplinary and grievance processes, and ensuring compliance with labor and employment law. The role also includes supporting workforce planning, contributing to HR projects and initiatives, analysing HR data to inform decision-making, and promoting a positive, inclusive workplace culture across Seren’s services.
Qualifications- Strong Human Resources (HR) and HR Management skills, with experience providing advisory support at a senior level.
- Knowledge of HR Policies and the ability to develop, implement, and review policy frameworks in a social care context.
- Sound understanding of Labor and Employment Law, with practical experience applying legislation to HR decisions.
- Expertise in Employee Relations, including handling complex cases, conflict resolution, and promoting a constructive working environment.
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CIPD Level 3 or above) or equivalent HR advisory experience.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with managers and team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including experience using HR data and metrics to drive improvements.
- Experience in social care, healthcare, or a regulated sector is desirable, along with a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- CIPD Level 3 minimim required
