A key focus of this role will be supporting the transition from Civica to iTrent. During this period, you will assist with a high volume of employee administration, including manually producing contracts and processing changes while systems are migrated. This role operates on a hybrid basis, with attendance in the Bristol office required on Tuesdays and Wednesdays , alongside flexibility around home working.
Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day HR administrative support to the People team. Produce contracts, offer letters and employment documentation, often manually during the transition from Civica to iTrent. Support the migration of employee data and HR processes to the new iTrent system. Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files. Act as a first point of contact for basic HR and payroll-related queries, escalating more complex matters where appropriate.
Assist with employee lifecycle administration including starters, leavers and contractual changes. Process family leave administration including maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave. Prepare HR correspondence and letters relating to employee changes and other people matters. Support payroll processes by ensuring employee changes are accurately recorded and communicated. Assist with reporting, data checks and compliance-related administration. Provide excellent customer service to employees and managers across the organisation.
Support wider HR projects and administrative activities as required. Essential Skills & Experience Previous administration experience, ideally within an HR, payroll or people-focused environment. Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to manage a high volume of administration accurately and efficiently. Strong written communication skills with experience drafting professional correspondence. Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and in accordance with GDPR requirements.
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications. A confident and professional approach when dealing with employee queries. Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines. Desirable Skills & Experience Previous HR administration experience. Knowledge of HR systems such as iTrent, Civica or similar HRIS platforms. Understanding of payroll processes and employee administration. Knowledge of maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave processes.
Experience working within the education sector or another regulated environment. DBS check and relevant safeguarding clearances.
