Our client seeks an experienced and astute Remote HR Policy and Compliance Specialist to join their distributed team, supporting operations that include East London . This role is paramount in ensuring that the organization's HR framework is robust, legally compliant, and supports the company's values and strategic objectives. You will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and updating HR policies, as well as overseeing compliance initiatives to mitigate risk and foster an ethical workplace culture.
This fully remote position is ideal for a dedicated HR professional with a strong understanding of legal frameworks and a passion for building compliant and equitable work environments.
- Develop, draft, and revise HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and alignment with best practices.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of HR practices to identify and address compliance gaps.
- Stay abreast of changes in South African labor laws and employment regulations, advising on necessary policy updates.
- Manage and respond to compliance-related inquiries and investigations.
- Develop and deliver training programs on HR policies and compliance matters to employees and managers.
- Ensure the consistent and fair application of HR policies across the organization.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Human Resources, with a significant focus on HR Policy development and Compliance .
- Extensive knowledge of South African labor law, including the BCEA, LRA, EEA, and other relevant legislation.
- Proven ability to research, draft, and implement HR policies.
- Experience in conducting compliance audits and investigations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, essential for remote work.
- Degree in Law, Human Resources, or a related field.
