This is a hybrid of an internal consultant and HR business partner seat: the Director raises talent outcomes for
the Regional VPs who run a national, multi-brand hospitality business.
Our client is a fast-growing, private equity backed hospitality services company operating a portfolio of brands
across the United States. Growth comes from both organic expansion and acquisitions.
As the lead people partner for a region, you will work with Regional VPs to find where talent is limiting results
and build the programs that fix it. As the platform grows, this role is expected to build and lead a small regional
team.
What you will do- Consult to Regional VPs on talent and organizational issues, from diagnosis to results.
- Own regional talent strategy: talent reviews, succession, career pathing, and leadership bench depth.
- Lead org design and workforce planning as markets scale.
- Tie every program to a business goal and a metric you can measure.
- Lead people integration for acquisitions while protecting what makes each local brand work.
- Build programs from scratch across a multi-site footprint, then scale them with central People teams.
- Coach leaders on performance and employee relations, partnering with Legal and central ER on complex matters.
The bar is a blend of four strengths. The strongest candidates bring at least three.
- Analytical rigor and strong academics: a strong academic foundation, such as an advanced degree, is
- Proof of impact: the business goal, the metric, the size of the change, and your part in it.
- Multi-site or distributed experience.
- Regular travel to regional markets.
Experience in private equity backed, acquisitive, high growth businesses is a strong plus.
Backgrounds that tend to thrive here- Consultants at the Consultant, Project Leader, or Engagement Manager level moving into an operating seat.
- Operators who moved into talent or HR.
- Analytical HR leaders from rotational programs who mixed internal consulting with HRBP work.
