The HR Generalist manages and supports the day-to-day Human Resources operations for a growing, multi-state organization of fewer than 100 employees. Serving as a trusted resource to employees, managers, and leadership, this role provides hands-on support across the full employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, compliance, HRIS administration, and offboarding.

The HR Generalist maintains strict confidentiality, exercises sound judgment, safeguards sensitive employee information, and promotes consistent, equitable, and legally compliant HR practices across the organization.

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for exempt and non-exempt positions, including job postings, interviews, selection, offers, and pre-employment requirements.

Support workforce planning and staffing decisions based on business needs, budgets, and organizational priorities.

Coordinate with vendors and third-party administrators to ensure required clearance and employee access are completed timely.

Coordinate with the Travel Department, as necessary, to support employees assigned applicable travel positions in remote locations.

Process personnel changes, including promotions, compensation changes, status changes, leaves, and terminations, ensuring appropriate approvals and supporting documentation are maintained.

Serve as a resource to employees and managers regarding workplace concerns, disciplinary action, policies, performance expectations, and employee relations matters.

Assist with and, when appropriate, lead workplace investigations and other workplace concerns.

Maintain working knowledge of employment laws and regulations affecting a multi-state workforce, including wage and hour requirements, paid and unpaid leave, accommodations, employee classification, required notices, recordkeeping, and other applicable employment requirements.

Serve as a primary administrator of the Company's HRIS platforms;
Ensure data and personnel records are entered and maintained accurately and timely.

Administer employee benefit programs and retirement plans.

Coordinate required benefits compliance activities and reporting.

Coordinate recurring HR programs, employee communications, Company initiatives, and employee engagement activities.

Requirements
  • Six (6) or more years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in an HR Generalist or HR Operations role.
  • Associates’s degree in Business, or a related field.
  • Professional HR certification.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources Management may be accepted in lieu of a professional Human Resources certification.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting employees across multiple states.
  • Experience with HRIS administration and confidential employee records.
  • Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Sound judgment with the ability to appropriately escal
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comparable technology platforms.

  • Maintain a reliable, professional, and secure remote work environment with dependable internet, telephone, computer, and required Company technology.
  • Remain available and responsive during scheduled working hours and for time-sensitive HR matters; routine communications should generally be acknowledged within one business day.
  • Maintain an accurate calendar, communicate availability and planned time away, and participate in required virtual meetings and training.
  • Work independently, meet deadlines, and promptly communicate issues affecting availability or productivity.
  • Protect confidential employee and Company information and comply with Company requirements for approved work locations, information security, VPN/access controls, and technology use.
  • Maintain professional standards in all remote and virtual interactions.
