GVEA is an electric cooperative that maintains 3,292 miles of transmission and distribution lines, 40 substations, and 9 generating facilities. Our system is interconnected with Fort Wainwright, Eielson AFB, Fort Greely, the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, and all of the electric utilities in the Alaska Railbelt, extending from Homer to Fairbanks. Powering the Interior of Alaska, GVEA contributes to the economic, environmental, and social viability of our communities.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain quality assurance procedures related to ticket management tracking; provide network troubleshooting and support; use Remote Support functions effectively; prioritize trouble calls and generate detailed documentation; create tailored training content for divisions; conduct training sessions; collaborate with vendor representatives for problem resolution; uphold GVEA IT service levels.
Qualifications- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of computer desktop environments and applications.
- Thorough knowledge of systems analysis and problem resolution techniques.
- Utilize Remote Support (Help Desk) functions; prioritize trouble calls and generate documentation as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
