Geographic Information System Administrator

FMH is seeking an experienced GIS Administrator to oversee the company’s geographic information systems. Serving as a technical subject matter expert and mentor, this individual will manage and administer the enterprise’s geodatabases, drive strategic GIS initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative geospatial solutions.

• ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise or ArcGIS Server maintenance including installing patches, upgrades, monitoring server performance, managing licenses and troubleshooting issues.
• Publishing and managing map services, feature services, image services, and web maps to ArcGIS Server or Portal.
• Data management & quality control such as managing enterprise geodatabases (SDE), organizing datasets, enforcing naming conventions, maintaining spatial accuracy.
• System monitoring and performance including monitoring server health, logs, and analytics for resource usage. Optimizes spatial indexes, definition queries and adjusting caches to improve performance.
• Configuring user roles, authentication, and data access permission.
• Troubleshooting and resolving data inconsistencies within databases.

• Experience: At least 3 years of experience administering and maintaining enterprise ESRI ArcGIS systems.
• Education: Associates degree in GIS, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• Skills: Must be proficient with ESRI’s ArcGIS products, most importantly ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Server. Experience with programming tools such as Python, Arc Py or Model Builder. Excellent communication on a technical and business level; proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
