Senior Firmware Engineer – AI Team in India

Your mission

Join our mission and help empower patients to achieve 10X more therapy time through our AI therapist, which guides them through their training plans and monitors their exercises.

• Develop and implement firmware for embedded systems
• Program microcontrollers (e.g. ARM Cortex-M, ESP
  32, STM
  32, etc.)
• Design and implement drivers and hardware interfaces (e.g. UART, SPI, I²C, USB, BLE)
• Integrate firmware into hardware prototypes and production devices
• Conduct code reviews, debugging, and optimization
• Prepare technical documentation
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, testing, project management)
• Contribute to requirement analysis and system design discussions

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience
• Solid knowledge of programming languages C and Rust
• Initial experience in frontend development (app, web, or desktop) or backend (database, API development)
• Focus during studies or completed modules in microcontroller programming, embedded systems, or robotics
• Experience in microcontroller programming, e.g. Arduino. Experience with prototyping, including circuit schematic design and PCB layout/design
• Knowledge of C# (.NET Framework) and/or web development (JavaScript, React, Electron, Node.js)

About This Role
We’re a Germany-based startup building a forward-thinking, globally connected team. This role is offered through an Employer of Record (EOR) provider, ensuring full local compliance and benefits aligned with Indian standards. Initially, the position is fully remote, with access to coworking options. Looking ahead to late 2026, we plan to expand our presence in India. Your focus will be on our Any Hand – a Robotic Device for Home-Based Hand Therapy. The device enables patients to perform intensive hand therapy sessions multiple times a day from the comfort of their own homes. It is regularly used with the aim of preventing contractures, improving range of motion, and reducing pain. The device offers interactive and adaptive therapy programs, which will be tailored to the user’s needs and progress.

This not only enhances therapeutic outcomes but also fosters patient motivation and independence in the recovery journey and helps them to stay committed to their therapy and achieve their goals.
