Senior User Experience Designer – Math Works

Join the Senior User Experience role at Math Works
. Math Works offers a hybrid work model that balances in‑office and home work for flexibility and collaboration.

We’re building a cross‑functional User Experience team focused on online learning products. You’ll steer projects from early ideation to pixel‑perfect releases, delighting users worldwide.

We’re dedicated to forging clear, effective designs for technical software products that improve the world.
What you’ll do:

  • Own the full design process: concepting, wireframes, prototypes, and production until your designs go live.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and research teams to build delightful, consistent, and accessible solutions.
  • Guide design decisions using research insights, usability testing, and established design standards.
  • Champion design methodology and share best practices across engineering and product teams.
  • Explore industry trends and emerging technologies across mobile, desktop, and web.

Required background:

  • STEM degree (Engineering, Learning Technology, Cognitive Science, Human–Computer Interaction, or similar).
  • Portfolio demonstrating a history of quality software/Web design.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, or comparable tools.
  • Experience designing desktop and web applications with responsive and accessible UX.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate design concepts and persuade stakeholders.
  • Experience translating technical concepts into intuitive UI representations.
  • Rapid grasp of complex workflows and ability to work independently while collaborating effectively.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of professional experience (or master’s with 3+ years, PhD, or equivalent).
