At lawpilots, as a Team Lead Full Stack Engineering, you will develop innovative, scalable EdTech solutions that support companies worldwide in digital training in the areas of data protection, information security, ESG, and compliance. Together with a strong, interdisciplinary team, you will guide our platform through a technological transformation and shape the technical vision behind our digital learning formats.

Modern tech stack, clear ownership, real responsibility.

• Work directly with our VP Engineering, Sebastian Belle, and our platform architects.
• Be responsible for the overall technical strategy of the backstage system, including architectural decisions and the technology roadmap.
• Lead the migration of our infrastructure from ECS to Kubernetes and consolidate our databases from Neo4j to Postgre
  
  SQL.
• Take the lead in modernizing the frontend – moving from Bootstrap to Material UI and a consistent design system.
• Drive technical excellence within your team through code reviews, best practices, and knowledge sharing.
• Continuously improve system stability, performance, and scalability.
• Execute complex migration projects in close collaboration with Cloud Ops and Product Management.

• At least 8 years of experience in software development, including 3 years in a technical leadership role.
• Deep expertise in Python (Django & FastAPI) and proficiency in working with Type Script and React.
• Mastery of Postgre
  
  SQL, including query optimization, data modeling, and complex queries at an expert level.
• Ideally experience with Kubernetes, Helm Charts, Datadog, and AI‑supported tools such as Claude or Cursor AI.
• Strong communicator who can explain technical concepts clearly and balance tech excellence with business value.
• Independent, inspirational leader who drives the team with technical strength.
• Fluency in English; good German language skills are a plus.

• Flexible working hours and optional workation within Europe (upon agreement).
• 28 vacation days plus one additional day per year, up to a maximum of 30 days. Office closed on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
