Job Description:

Sun Power is seeking an experienced Sr. Database Developer to join the Digital Revolution initiative and Sun Power's Commercial Customer Portal. This new project enables customers such as Macy's and major school systems with Sun Power Solar Panels to manage their energy consumption. The application will extend the existing Residential Customer Portal (RCP) code base with new features.

Required skills:

• Experience implementing new database tables
• Experience with stored procedures
• Experience re-implementing stored procedures to improve performance
• Strong data analysis skills
• AWS and/or Redshift experience (preferred)
• Experience in the solar or energy industry (highly preferred)

Additional Information:

This is a new project, so candidates should anticipate a longer ramp-up time and need to familiarize themselves with the RCP to develop new features for the CCP.

Sun Power offers a casual, laid-back environment with flexible remote work options (1-2 days/week). The team currently includes 9 developers and testers onsite in Austin.
