This is an entry to mid-level position that will be responsible for installation, management, support and maintenance of physical and virtual Windows servers running on‑prem and Cloud environments. Maintenance of all systems includes troubleshooting hardware and operating system issues, performing firmware and operating system updates and patches, and adjusting resources allocated to virtual machines when needed. Communication with technical support and the customer is required when investigating issues with hardware and/or operating system problems.
JobFunctions and General Responsibilities
- Installation and configuration of Windows Server OS on physical and virtual servers.
- Installation and configuration of Windows and Linux OS.
- Installation of physical hardware, such as rack servers, on‑site and in remote offices.
- Firmware management on different models and brands of hardware.
- Develop and maintain virtual machines on‑prem.
- Create and maintain Windows OS templates for on‑prem.
- Create and maintain documentation for assigned areas.
- Ensure standardization, compliance and enforcement of policies and daily operating procedures.
Skills and Abilities
- Experience with VMWare ESXi & vSphere and Windows Server operating systems.
- Experience with server hardware and firmware, including racking & stacking hardware.
- Ability to adapt to varying situations and troubleshoot performance issues and connection issues.
- Basic scripting skills using Power Shell.
- Knowledge of operating systems and applications, cybersecurity issues and preventative methods, hardware and software troubleshooting, and research, collection and analysis of network performance.
- Degree in Computer Science or closely related field from an accredited college, university, or technical training institute is preferred.
- Minimum one or more year’s of professional experience with computer information technology systems or cybersecurity, which would include internships or personal projects.

Salary: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year.
