Network Engineer II (Remote Position)
OSIS is seeking a Network Engineer II to join our team and play a critical role in supporting and enhancing our network and security infrastructure. This is a 100% remote position, giving you the flexibility to work from anywhere while collaborating with a dynamic team that supports healthcare organizations nationwide.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, tune, and maintain Cisco/Fortinet networks, firewalls, and wireless systems
- Monitor resource usage and optimize performance
- Develop procedures to prevent and minimize outages
- Create and maintain configuration and support documentation
- Provide professional technical assistance to staff, administrators, vendors, and service providers
- Resolve escalated help desk requests
- Participate in on‑call rotations
- Manage projects and program components to meet organizational objectives
- Administer systems and servers to ensure service availability
Maintain multi‑site network operations across private and public facilities
- 3+ years of experience in an IT Enterprise environment
- Strong knowledge of routing/switching and firewall configuration
- Expertise in spanning tree protocol, OSPF, IPSEC, and SSL VPNs
- Experience with network configuration and monitoring
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field
- Knowledge of Microsoft AD network integration for authentication
- 3+ years of experience with routing/switching and firewall configuration
- 1+ years of healthcare industry experience
- Hands‑on experience with Cisco ASA and Fortinet security hardware
- Experience building and maintaining IPSEC and SSL VPN connections
- Knowledge of switching, dynamic routing, VRFs, Nexus, MPLS, Point‑to‑Point Circuits, IP‑SLA, and network/data security
- CCNA certification a plus
- Experience working with non‑profits or healthcare organizations
This role is 100% remote. To succeed, you’ll need:
