We envision a future in which this core indexing technology initially becomes an essential piece of data infrastructure and over time expands to touch every critical aspect of data engineering, from storage all the way to query engines, redefining how we approach current and future AI workloads. We are looking for a talented engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our core acceleration technology. This role involves enhancing our core multi‑dimensional indexing implementation for Data Lake houses. You’ll collaborate closely with the team to introduce groundbreaking features that are unique in the market.

• Develop and enhance our indexing technology using Java, Scala, and Rust.
• Build support for open table formats such as Iceberg.
• Maintain and improve product quality by resolving defects and creating robust test cases and frameworks.
• Explore other areas of interest—in a startup, there’s always more to do and learn.

• Experience: A minimum of three years in professional software development.
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
  • Familiarity with database internals.
  • Experience with Data Lakehouse formats (e.g., Delta Lake, Apache Hudi, Apache Iceberg) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of storage I/O is a bonus.
  • Proficiency in Java, Scala, and Rust, with the adaptability to work in other languages as needed.
  • Experience with query engines like Apache Spark, Trino, or emerging ones like Data Fusion.
