.NET Tech Lead Ukraine

Forte Group is looking for a .NET Tech Lead , who will lead the end-to-end technical design and execution of re-platforming a product from on-premise to AWS Cloud. You will lead the technical design and execution of a large-scale replatforming initiative, migrating an enterprise .NET-based system from on-premise to a secure cloud environment.
About the Product: The platform is an enterprise-grade .NET-based system currently operating in multiple customer environments. The modernization roadmap involves replatforming to the cloud using a lift-and-shift model — introducing cloud automation, secure connectivity, and telemetry while preserving existing functionality. Future phases will focus on progressive decoupling and transition toward cloud-native components.
Key features include:

• Large-scale .NET platform transitioning from on-premise to cloud.
• Mix of legacy and modern components: .NET Framework, .NET Core, SQL Server, and Windows-based services.
• Infrastructure automation and monitoring through Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and telemetry.
• Secure reverse proxying, role-based access, and identity federation.
• API integrations with external enterprise systems.
• Modernization roadmap introducing containerization, observability, and refactoring opportunities.

• Provide technical direction and architectural guidance across teams and components
• Coordinate engineering efforts to ensure alignment on design decisions, standards, and implementation approaches
• Support developers and Dev Ops engineers by clarifying technical requirements, patterns, and best practices
• Collaborate with Delivery and Product stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility, risks, and dependencies are well understood
• Help break down complex initiatives into clear technical work streams
• Review designs, code, and infrastructure changes to ensure quality, scalability, and consistency
• Facilitate cross-team communication, ensuring the right technical decisions are made at the right time
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, guiding teams toward effective solutions
• Contribute to architectural documentation, decision-making, and modernization planning

• Lead technical direction across teams, ensuring architectural alignment and consistent engineering practices
• Coordinate technical work streams, clarifying dependencies, risks, and design considerations
• Drive engineering quality through design reviews, code reviews, and infrastructure validation
• Ensure CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and environment configurations follow best practices
• Collaborate closely with Delivery and Product teams to evaluate feasibility, define technical scope, and anticipate implementation challenges
• Identify technical risks early and guide teams toward effective mitigation strategies
• Promote documentation of architecture, operational procedures, and technical decisions
• Support smooth delivery by ensuring teams have clear technical guidance, patterns, and standards

• Provide architectural leadership for the replatforming of a large .NET-based system from on-premise to cloud
• Define technical patterns and standards for infrastructure , deployment automation, reverse proxying, security, and observability
• Guide teams through design decisions involving legacy .NET Framework components, Windows-based services, and modern .NET
• Ensure cloud environments are secure, scalable, repeatable, and aligned with Infrastructure-as-Code practices
• Review and validate Terraform modules, CI/CD pipelines , configuration changes, and infrastructure updates
• Support gradual modernization by identifying opportunities for decoupling, service extraction, performance improvements, and technical debt reduction
• Collaborate with Dev Ops and Cloud Engineering to standardize networking, VM images, environment layouts, and telemetry integration
• Promote best practices across logging, monitoring, alerting, and operational readiness
• Ensure architectural decisions are documented clearly and communicated effectively across teams
• Ensure secure and scalable integration with SOAP, REST, and HL7 FHIR services.

• Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations clearly to Product and Delivery stakeholders
• Participate in roadmap planning and define technical goals aligned with business objectives
• Balance technical innovation with delivery timelines and resource constraints

• Stay up to date with the latest features, libraries, and best practices.
