Job Description # Network Engineer - Blue Cat Our  client has an immediate Remote opening for a Network Engineer consultant with Blue Cat experience. IF you are interested please apply with resume to
· Experience implementing and managing EVPN VXLAN deployments
· Arista Switching experience a plus – specifically in deployments leveraging EVPN & VXLAN.
· Experience with Python
· Familiarity with automation/configuration management frameworks – Ansible
· Knowledge of RESTFUL APIs, YAML, JSON/XML
· Experience with Arista AVD framework - usage and implementation a plus.
· Experience leveraging tools such as Ansible, NAPALM, Netmiko in a CI/CD pipeline
· Experience leveraging open Data Models for the purpose of network automation.
· Experience with cloud networking concepts and applied knowledge of AWS
· Knowledge of SDN (Software Defined Networking) and NFV (Network Functions Virtualization)
· Experience building and using IaC networking tools with Terraform
· Experience with Equinix Network Edge and Fabric services a plus.
· Understanding and comfort in leveraging Dev Ops principles and methodologies and ability to apply them to networking use cases.
· Familiarity with containerization – Docker, Kubernetes
· Understanding of and experience with implementation of network security principles and capabilities – Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption.
· Familiarity with Zero-trust architecture frameworks and secure automation practices.
· Experience working with virtualization technologies such as VMware, KVM, Nutanix AHV.
· Knowledge of virtual network appliances and leveraging them with overlays (VXLAN).
· Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
· Excel at documentation skills for new processes and workflows.
· Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams and with both vendors and third-party service providers.
· Familiarity and comfort with Agile/Scrum Methodologies.
· Innovation mindset with ability to think outside of the box to approach and solve complex challenges.
