UX Designer-Developer Position at Spigot

Spigot is a small but capable web design shop based in Park City, Utah. We pride ourselves on delivering effective, high-quality work on time and within budget. Spigot serves local, regional, and national businesses across a variety of industries, and we are dedicated to being a trusted partner for our clients.

As a creative team focused primarily on web and digital experiences, we’re looking for a talented individual who can bridge the gap between user experience design and development. We are seeking a UX designer-developer to join our team on a project/freelance basis.

This is a contract/project-based role for a UX designer with strong Word Press development skills. Projects and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Designing and developing user-centered digital experiences from concept to implementation using Word Press
• Implementing our streamlined process of research, strategy, wire framing, and design as one cohesive phase
• Collaborating closely with the creative director, project managers, and clients to understand their needs and bring their visions to life
• Ensuring all digital products meet accessibility standards and function seamlessly across devices
• Helping maintain and evolve our Word Press design and development standards
• Staying up-to-date with UX trends and Word Press best practices

This role offers the opportunity to work remotely and collaborate with a passionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional results for our clients.

This is a
part-time contractor position with the potential for growth as our business expands. We offer competitive rates commensurate with experience.

• Experience with Word Press page builders, particularly Beaver Builder or Bricks
• Proficiency in UX design principles and best practices
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices
• Experience with user research and strategy development
• Ability to translate research insights into functional Word Press designs
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
