join our Marketing Team!

Location: This is a hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) role in Buffalo, NY. Please note that this role is not eligible for fully remote work, with no exceptions.
Position Type: W-2 employee, fixed-term (5 months), full-time contract with potential for conversion based on business needs.

As a Technical Content Writer at Odoo, you’ll create accurate, engaging technical content across User Documentation , Product Tours, eLearning Tutorials, Microcontent, and Whitepapers. You must have strong technical skills and the ability to explain complex information clearly and practically.

You’ll become a product expert, manage documentation through Git Hub, write scripts for large audiences, and collaborate with writers, designers, and producers to deliver high-quality projects efficiently.

You’ll join a tech-savvy, action-oriented team that values learning, collaboration, and execution. We focus on understanding Odoo’s evolving platform and turning complex information into clear, actionable content. We balance technical precision with creative storytelling, always prioritizing practical communication over vague “marketing copy” to engage our entrepreneur-driven audience meaningfully.

You’re independent, curious, and focused on delivering exceptional work. You have strong fundamentals in grammar, style, and voice, combined with a technical mindset. You enjoy solving problems, learning how things work, and collaborating with other smart, driven individuals.

• Work cross-functionally with the R&D, product, technical, and content marketing staff to stay up-to-date on the latest Odoo features and capabilities. Ensure that knowledge is accurately provided to customers across Odoo’s various communication channels, including user documentation, website product pages, video tutorials, and more.
• Peer review content using best practices from Odoo’s global and US-specific guidelines.
• Write quality long-form technical guides, whitepapers, eLearning scripts, and product tour videos to educate new users and demonstrate business flows.
• Independently author new technical support and user documentation articles. Revise and maintain existing content written by multiple contributors over different Odoo versions.
• Read and write in RST markup and submit new/improved documentation using Git. Perform content and technical reviews using Git Hub.
• Manage tasks using Odoo Project, adhering to an annual content calendar.
