IT Specialist (Infrastructure management, hardware/software support, network and security operations)
An IT Specialist manages and maintains an organization’s IT systems, ensuring smooth operation of computer systems, networks, and related technologies. Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware/software issues, managing network infrastructure, implementing security measures, and providing technical support to end-users.
Key Responsibilities- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and networks
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware, software, and network issues
- Implement and maintain security protocols to protect data and systems
- Provide technical assistance and support to users
- Manage LANs, WANs, and cloud-based networks
- Perform hardware/software installations, updates, and maintenance
- Document system configurations and troubleshooting procedures
- Support IT projects such as system upgrades or migrations
- Strong technical knowledge of computer systems, networks, and operating systems
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Effective communication and customer service abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Adaptability to learn new technologies
- Awareness of IT security best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred; relevant experience may suffice
- Full‑time or contract roles available
