Data Warehouse Engineer

Zogo Tech partners with community colleges and empowers them to use data to increase student success. Our Data Analytics Platform includes a data warehouse, an ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) framework that integrates data from multiple sources, and a web application with business intelligence reporting and ad hoc querying tools.

As a Data Warehouse Engineer at Zogo Tech, you will play a critical role in deploying, customizing, and supporting our platform. This is a hybrid engineering and support role. You will program back-end SQL and Python code as well as collaborating with customers to support their data needs.

• Platform Deployment & Support: Deploy, customize, and maintain the Zogo Tech Analytics Platform to meet customer requirements.

  Communicate with customers to understand their business needs, translate these requirements into code, and troubleshoot issues.
• SQL Mastery: Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and design database schemas for data integration and analysis.
• ETL & Integration: Integrate data from various institutional sources into our data warehouse using SQL, Python, and our ETL framework.
• Technical Operations: Use source code editors, version control systems, and command-line tools to manage ETL, systems administration, and troubleshooting tasks.

• Proficiency in SQL: Deep experience with writing, optimizing, and managing SQL queries and database schemas.
• Programming
  
  Skills:
  
  Familiarity with Python or similar programming languages.
• Customer Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work directly with customers to understand and address their needs.

• Experience in higher education, particularly with institutional research or student data systems (Anthology, Ellucian Colleague, Banner, People Soft).
• Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with Windows Server, SQL Server, Linux, and Postgre
  
  SQL.
