Work Designation

• Hybrid:
  If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, you will be expected to work in the office at least 60% of the work week.

What does it take to be successful in this role?

• Advanced experience with software configuration and modern programming languages
• Salesforce CRM Analytics – experience with security and complex queries using SAQL, SOQL and bindings
• Tableau – Tableau Cloud, experience with LOD calculations, dynamic zone visibility, row‑level security
• Working knowledge of data models and database structure
• Snowflake – a plus
• Understanding of the development release cycle on the Salesforce Platform
• Knowledge of continuous integration/development tools (preferred)
• Technical writing skills for documenting design of complex solutions
• Ability to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to troubleshoot challenging problems across the platform & its HW/SW components
• Proven experience in Scrum and Dev Ops methodologies
• Ability to guide and mentor junior team members
• Lead medium projects

Education & Experience Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
• Four or more years of experience in release practices and environments or other related experience

Principal

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provides support on architectural design and maintenance of the platform’s (COTS, SaaS, ERP) environment with distributed components
• Ensures compliance with the organization’s requirements through implementation, auditing, and adherence to policies, procedures, and security standards
• Plans software upgrades, patching, and plugin installations in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Monitors performance, resolves problems, and manages component capacity issues
• Designs, tests, develops, configures, and maintains integrations to platform applications
• Adheres to the platform’s security and coding standards for resilience, data, and security
• Reviews business requirements to deploy the best solution, including configuring, coding, and debugging
• Works closely with cross‑functional departments to communicate statuses and technical proposals
• Deploys and configures platform applications tailored to company needs
• Designs technical solutions, configures/customizes, tests, and maintains the platform applications to meet company requirements
• Performs other duties as required

Total Rewards

The salary range for this job is $88,000 - $140,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.
