We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Azure Data Factory (ADF) Developer/Administrator to play a critical role in our cloud migration initiatives. This role will be central to migrating our existing Azure MSSQL databases to Azure Postgre

SQL, along with the associated data pipelines and integration workflows. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in ADF, Azure database services, and data migration strategies, with a strong understanding of application migration, including platforms like PEGA. You will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and managing robust and efficient data integration solutions to support our evolving data landscape.

Responsibilities

Data Migration Strategy and Execution:

• Lead the planning and execution of data migration from Azure MSSQL to Azure Postgre
  
  SQL, ensuring data integrity, quality, and minimal downtime.

• Design, develop, and maintain complex data pipelines and workflows in Azure Data Factory to facilitate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) processes for database migration and application integration.

• Possess strong knowledge of both Azure MSSQL and Azure Postgre
  
  SQL database environments, including schema design, data types, performance tuning, and security best practices.

• Collaborate with application teams (including PEGA) to understand data migration requirements and dependencies, ensuring seamless integration with the new Postgre
  
  SQL environment.

• Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms for ADF pipelines and database performance. Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues promptly and effectively.

• Adhere to data security policies and compliance standards during the migration process and in ongoing data operations. Implement appropriate security measures within ADF and the database environments.

• Utilize infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., ARM templates, Terraform) to automate the deployment and management of ADF resources and database services.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including database administrators, application developers, and project managers, to ensure successful migration and integration efforts. Provide clear and concise communication on progress, risks, and dependencies.

• Define and enforce best practices and standards for ADF development, data integration, and database management within the Azure environment.

• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for ADF pipelines, data flows, and migration processes.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure data services and ADF features, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement in our data integration architecture.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
