We are looking for a Performance-focused QA Engineer who will help us strengthen system stability, identify bottlenecks, and ensure our platform can handle high-volume enterprise workloads.- Audit the current system, find weak points, and improve performance quality
- Build and execute performance and load testing strategy
- Ensure the product withstands large data volumes and heavy user load
- Cover core functionality with tests (automation + manual when needed)
- Propose engineering improvements, not just report issues
This is a role for someone who thinks as an engineer, not just a tester.
This role is based in our Lisbon office in a hybrid format. If you are not currently in Portugal, we are open to remote work during the trial period, with relocation to Lisbon afterward.
🧰 Day-to-Day Responsibilities Automation Testing- Develop, maintain, and optimize automated tests on Java
- Use modern automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit). Integrate tests into CI/CD processes.
- Create scripts for load testing (1,000+ users).
- Utilize tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or Load Runner.
- Conduct performance tests, analyze results, and monitor the system under load.
- Identify bottlenecks and provide recommendations to address them.
- Implement best practices to ensure system stability.
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Analyze requirements and create test cases.
- Conduct manual testing of core system components.
- Report detected issues and collaborate with developers to resolve them.
- Proficient in Java and experienced in using it for writing tests.
- 2+ years of experience in automation testing (knowledge of tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar).
- 2+ years of experience in performance testing (JMeter, Gatling, Load Runner, or similar tools).
- Experience with monitoring systems (e.g., Grafana, Kibana).
- Experience testing microservices architectures and APIs (Postman, Swagger, REST, SOAP).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Workspace, and Azure.
- Understanding of database operations (e.g., SQL, No
SQL) and ability to perform queries for testing.
- Proficiency in manual testing methods and approaches.
- Familiarity with task tracking systems (Jira, Trello, Azure Dev Ops). Experience in creating test cases, checklists, and preparing test documentation (Zephyr Scale)
- Attention to detail and responsibility.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems proactively.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes.
- Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools (Jenkins).
