** What You Will Get To Do:
** SS&C is searching for a skilled VMware / Open Shift Administrator to manage and optimize our container orchestration platform. As a VMware/ Open Shift Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in deploying, configuring, and maintaining VMware and Open Shift clusters while ensuring smooth operation and high availability of our applications. You will collaborate with the Engineering Team and as part of the operations teams to enhance our infrastructure and support continuous integration and delivery workflows.
* Install, configure, and maintain VMware and Open Shift clusters on-premises.
* Monitor cluster performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
* Manage user access and permissions within the Open Shift environment.
* Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment.
* Work with development teams to optimize applications running on Open Shift.
* Create and maintain documentation related to Open Shift configurations and procedures.
* Stay updated with the latest Open Shift and Kubernetes features and best practices.
* Collaborate with security teams to implement best security practices for containerized applications.
* Conversions from VMware to Open Shift
* Ability to Manage a VMware environment
** What You Will Bring:
*** 4+ years of experience as an Open Shift Administrator or similar role.
* Strong understanding of Open Shift and Kubernetes architecture and components.
* Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
* Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Groovy.
* Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.
* Knowledge of networking concepts and configurations in a containerized environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Open Shift or Kubernetes certifications are a plus.
* VMware Certifications a plus.
