React Developer

Overview

We are looking for a front-end developer to help re-write the UI for a payments application and bring it up to compliance with WCAG 2.1 standards. The design of the application already exists; we need to replicate it in React, make it WCAG 2.1 compliant and multi-language capable. This will be a 4 – 6 month project with potential for hire.

This is a work from home position, but we prefer someone in the Atlanta area (north side) to attend occasional meetings with IT leadership.

• Translate the existing UI design into a React-based front-end that adheres to WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.
• Ensure multi-language (i18n) support is implemented.
• Collaborate with back-end developers; minimal back-end work using Node.js.
• Reproduce the existing design accurately and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
• Engage with IT leadership as needed for meetings.

• Expert UI skills using React.
• Strong JavaScript proficiency.
• WCAG 2.1 experience.
• Experience with multi-language applications (strongly preferred).
• Payment industry experience (strongly preferred).
• Familiarity with Node.js on the back end (not heavy back-end work).
• Familiarity with calling custom APIs and using existing API integrations.
